Prescribed Acute Medicine and over the counter (OTC) Medicine
Acute medication obtained from a Designated Service Provider (DSP) is covered up to a maximum of 100% of the Scheme Medication Rate, and subject to an annual Acute Medicine limit.
Acute medication obtained from a non-DSP is covered up to a maximum of 80% of the Scheme Medication Rate, and subject to an annual Acute Medicine limit.
OTC medication is covered up to a maximum of 80% of the Scheme Medication Rate subject to the Scheme's Acute Medicine Formulary, and preferentially priced generic and brand medication prices. OTC medication is subject to an annual limit.
The provisions of Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB) and cover for PMB conditions are applicable.

Prescribed acute medicine is covered up to a maximum of 100% of the Scheme Medication Rate. Cover is unlimited within the KeyCare Acute Medicine Formulary and protocols and only covered if prescribed by KeyCare Network GP.
The provisions of Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB) and cover for PMB conditions are applicable.
There is not benefit for over the counter (OTC) medicine.
